Lake Superior Tour: Wawa to Thunder Bay

We woke up to the soothing sounds of raindrops outside our window, so we waited out the rain as we drank our coffee..

Once the cell passed, we stopped at Tim Hortons for a quick bite to eat, then on the road. Gorgeous scenery throughout the day…

What’s up with the giant displays for tourism up north? Had fun on the Visit Manitouwadge display…

We continued on, stopping for gas in Marathon ( sure glad we stayed in Wawa.. Much nicer) then headed to Terrace Bay.

Love seeing others having their own Hooha adventures…

Headed toward Terrace Bay beach and saw a fox..

We stopped for lunch, and had great food including homemade vegetable soup at a place called Drifters.

Back on the road, had beautiful views on the way to Nipigon.

Stopped in Nipigon to see the Paddle to the Sea display, one of Jeffrey’s favorite books to read to the boys…

We got into Thunder Bay and after cleaning up, had a wonderful dinner of linguini and steak and goat cheese salad at the Madhouse in downtown Thunder Bay.

Change of plans!!! We have decided to finish the tour of Lake Superior and do the south side of the lake, after a storm cell passes in the morning. Hooha!! J and M
